Bob Waters

About Bob Waters

A 25-year radio vet, Bob Waters has spent the majority of his career here in Central Pennsylvania.  Bob graduated from North Carroll High School in Hampstead, Maryland in 1986 and went on a 3-year walkabout before starting his radio career at The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland in Baltimore.  Among his stops, Bob has worked in Country, Top 40, Talk, Sports Talk, Rock & Classic Rock radio.  His work on 98.5, The Peak’s now defunct Crockett & Waters Morning Show won two “Outstanding Radio Show of the Year” awards from The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.  In 2011, Bob and his family headed down the east coast to beautiful Savannah, Georgia, where he helped launch that city’s #1 Country station.  Bob also served as Public Address announcer for the Savannah Sand Gnats, the Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets.   A long-time club and wedding DJ, Bob was the very first house MC at Saddlebags Night Club along the world famous River Street in Savannah.

Bob brings a great cast of characters with him to ‘TPA, including his wife Niki (who can’t WAIT to tell you all the things Bob wants her NOT to), and the great comedian (and former NCHS classmate) Charlie Charnigo.

A lifetime Baltimore Orioles baseball fan, Bob is a staff writer for the blog site Orioles-Nation.com.  He also roots for the Cowboys in the NFL (and, to a far lesser extent, the Ravens), the Maryland Terrapins in college football & basketball, and the Washington Wizards in the NBA.  He loves sports, as well as reading, politics, history, seeing people running for their lives, B-list actresses, gingerbread cookies, pelicans, and all kinds of music.  John Mellencamp, R.E.M., U2, The Beatles and XTC are among his favorites.  Bob’s favorite words are “pickle” and “gargoyle” and “fondue”.

Bob and his wife Niki live in Camp Hill with their children Connor & Sophia-Amelie.
